I’ve relented
Not so long ago I made a comment that blogs were for depressed, bored people or people with nothing better to do with their lives. I’ve now reconsidered that opinion, done a political backflip and created my own blog, here.
The reason I guess is that I have begun a life away from home and that has spawned a whole new thought pattern on blogs.
Firstly I am away from the security of my close friends and family and I want to be able to share something with them while I am away simply and easily.
Secondly, I feel I have things to say, things to make public. I have a flickr account and a deviantart account, but I am still searching for the right medium.
Thirdly I would like a record of my time in Qatar and on other travels – a blog is an alternative to pen and paper when it comes to creating that. I don’t intend to abandon my notebook (that will still contain my purely personal feelings and thoughts), but hope to expand it with this forum..
So here I am.. this is me.. on the net, for all to hear.. uh.. read…

Well, don’t worry – you should have lots of time for blogging in Qatar. Lots and lots…
Lovely looking blog, by the way. Much neater than mine!
Hmm, just came to your blog (refered it from rainmountain). I think you are a interessting person and will visit your blog more often…
I’ve missed this entry
I am glad you blog
Thanks Nicole! I’m kind of glad I do too, its a good way to get my thoughts out. I still carry a notebook around with me to write, sketch, note whenever I feel like it but I feel less inspired to do that over here. This blog kind of fills that void.
